Frequently Asked Questions
1. What the heck does FTW mean?
It’s an acronym that stands for “for the win”. It’s in fairly common usage on the web.
2. Uh . . . so what does “for the win” mean?
“For the win” and its acronym, FTW, are often used at the end of phrases and such to denote enthusiasm, recommendations, endorsements, and accolades… among other things. For example, in the context we’re using it here, the name of the blog is meant to express the fact that customer service is a great way to win customer loyalty, endorsements, etc – essentially, awesome customer service is awesome. A little FYI, it appears that “for the win” has its origins in television game shows – contestants on Hollywood Squares would announce their winning move by saying, “I’ll take Gilbert Gottfried for the win”.
3. Why do you have only three questions on your FAQ?
Because we’re a new blog and haven’t had anyone ask any questions yet. Have you got one to ask? Send it to sara@customerserviceftw.com.
